Paypal Payments Standard HTML

Paypal processor settings:

* Account Name:  what you want to call this account.  This is just a label for distinguishing this account from others.
* Merchant Id:  the Secure Merchant Account ID for the Paypal account. This is NOT the login to the Paypal web site.
* Account Type:  either Production or Sandbox.  Normal accounts will be Production.

To configure a Paypal account:
1. Sign up for Paypal.
2. Connect the account to your financial institution (so you get paid.)
3. Create the Center EX order processor account using the Secure Merchant Account Id from the My Account/Profile tab of your Paypal account.
4. View the new order processor account and copy the Notification Url.
5. Update your Paypal account on the My Account/Profile tab:
a. click the Instant Payment Notification Preferences link.
b. click the Choose IPN Settings button
c. paste the Notification Url into the Paypal Notification URL field
d. choose the Receive IPN messages option
c. click Save.

We strongly recommend you monitor the email associated with your Paypal account.  Paypal sends sends several different kinds of important account notifications in addition to transaction notifications via email.

Special Notes:
* The Paypal Payments Standard HTML API does not support refunds so you have to log into your Paypal account to void a transaction or credit a refund.

Refunds
The Paypal Payments Standard HTML API used by Center EX does not support refunds. To refund an order:
1. log in to the Paypal web site
2. go to the My Account/History tab
3. click the find a transaction link
4. search for the Processor Id of the order (from the Center EX Order page) using the Transaction Id search option
5. click on the Issue Refund button on the order you want to refund.
