Public Site Overview

Center IC (with the EX option) generates a complete web site for the public to view and interact with.

This public site handles registration for consulting and events (with optional payment), surveys, and can also serve documents from your library. This site can serve as your whole site, or can run parallel to your existing public web site.

Center IC has basic content management features and you can run Center IC as your entire public site. However Center IC is not as full featured as other content management systems, so many customers choose to run their public site with systems such as WordPress. Even in this case, you can still make the public Center IC site look just like your public site with a html template file.

Note, we do not provide hosting services for third party software to run a separate public site, so you will need to acquire this from another vendor if you choose to run parallel sites. Normally the web designer who creates your public site will provide or recommend this hosting service.

The Center IC public site can be made to look like virtually any other website with a html template file. When used with a parallel site, this feature makes it seamless for your customers, as they can move from your main web site to the Center IC site to register, without even realizing they are moving from one to the other.

HTML Template

A HTML template is the file that dictates the look of your Center IC public site. It is created from standard HTML with some special tags. If you have a parallel public site, your web designer is able to create this html template from the layout used for your public site.

Testing and Publishing a HTML Template

For security reasons we do not allow access to the Center IC servers, so when you have your html template ready, we will need to manually publish/post it for you.

To test your html template, we can put it in a special 'slot' that you can access but the public will not see. We will still need to manually place the html template for you in these test cases. Please take the extra time involved for testing and manual posting into consideration for scheduling when you are going live with a new site.

You can email a zip file of the html template and related files (css/js/images) to support@centerdynamics.com for testing or publishing.
