    SBA Nexus System Access


    From the SBA Connect page, Sign in with login.gov will begin the access to Nexus process. 
     


    Review and Accept or Decline the Terms and Conditions  
     

    Enter your Email address and Password to sign in SBA Connect from Login.gov. 
    There may be a secure access prompt on the next screen. If you would like to receive an access code via text use the dropdown menu to choose this option. 


    Welcome to Nexus!

    You are presented with two options: 
    Create New Client Intake
    Upload your XML files containing 641 consulting data or 888 training data.

    Nexus Resource Materials
    Access your previously uploaded XML files as well as Nexus system reference materials including SBA Program Metrics Definitions

     


    Upload XML Files

    On the Client Intake Form page, you will choose File Upload from the three options listed above the 641 Individual Counseling/Training and 888 Aggregated Training options.


    On the File Upload page, Start Upload will begin the process. To add your XML file Upload Files opens a file explorer that allows you to choose your XML files. 

    There is also an option to drop files. If you choose to drop files you should do this with only one file at a time, completing the upload for each file as a separate action.
    If your CRM system XML files are Zip files you do not need to extract the data from the files before uploading to the Nexus system



    Your progress in uploading your chosen file will be displayed on the line shown next to the file name. Once the green checkmark is displayed your file has been uploaded. Confirmation of this will be seen in the “1of1 file uploaded” text below the file name. Select the Done button to complete the process.

    Please note that once you have completed the previous activity, your file name will no longer be referenced. 
    The current version of the Nexus system provides a Client Intake File Name represented by “UPLOAD-0000000000” (a nine-digit number).



    You may want to use this workbook as a journal or quick reference as you use the Nexus system. This workbook can assist in reporting financial audit/grant compliance of your Nexus data uploads.



    Once your file is uploaded you can review its progress by accessing My Client Intake Uploads from the More menu.



    Review File Status

    Draft is displayed in the Status column when an incomplete file upload action occurs. This is possible if you step away from the system after choosing the File Upload button but do not choose a file to upload. The Draft status will clear from the system within 24-hours.

    Complete is displayed when your XML file has been loaded into the Nexus system. The system has received the file.

    Complete and Notified is displayed when your XML file records have been processed into the system. The system has processed your file, and you can view the number of records processed successfully as well as the number of records with exceptions.


    Viewing Exceptions

    If the Record Count Exception is greater than zero, the Validation Report will provide a list of the records that were not successfully loaded and the reason they were not loaded. 



    On the Validation Report page an individual exception is accessed from the Client Intake Staging list.



    The Export option on the Edit menu will provide access to Export or download a copy of the exception reporting for your XML file. 



    As you Export you may accept the defaults to create the report.
