CARES Act COVID-19 Support Call Logs (sf888)

For COVID-19 related support under the CARES Act, SBA created a way to submit a 'non-conforming' sf888 to report the summary of customers assisted and tracked by Support Call Logs.  In some ways it can be considered as non-counseling counseling since a complete 641 profile was not available when the support call was handled to assist customer with timely COVID-19 financial/disaster information and counsel.

SBA will accept a single sf888 that covers a specific time period and center(s) where the number of attendees = the number of support calls and the event total hours = the total hours of support provided during the support calls.

The training event would be complete as follows.  Note the beginning of the event title is critical for SBA's internal reporting.
The title must start with the phrase: "COVID-19 Counseling".

Title: COVID-19 Counseling (you may add addt'l text to title after this)

Start Date: Beginning of period covered

End Date: End of period covered

Event Program: CARES Act (Subject to internal policy)

Event Sub-Program: COVID-19 (Subject to internal policy)

Training Topic: COVID-19 Support Calls Log
(we map this to EDMIS topic 'COVID-19 Finance/Capital' in the export)

Program Format: Teleconference

Total Number of Attendees: Sum of all logs, spreadsheets, reports, etc.

Sessions: Enter number of attendees or 1

Total Hours: Total time spent supporting customers

Resources Participating: Check off the SBDC or WBC box at least (it's required for the EDMIS export process)

Notes:

1) No Fee Attendees must match Total Attendees (in order to verify the event)

2) You do not need to add Attendees under the Attendees tab.

3) You do not need to identify the demographic breakout of the attendees.  In fact, we don't recommend putting in partial information, i.e. if you don't know the number of women for all, entering partial information makes it look like less women were served as a percent of the total.
